Hello, Brick Fanatics. Strap yourself in as we prepare to make the jump to hyperspace, because we’ve got a lot of parsecs to cover in this video.
The name of the game is rumours: specifically, LEGO Star Wars 2024 rumours. German website Promobricks, which is usually fairly reliable about this kind of thing, had published a long and detailed list of LEGO Star Wars sets that maybe sorta kinda might be releasing next year.
Take everything here with a pinch of salt, because these are only rumours, but Promobricks was bang on the money in predicting the Emperor’s Throne Room diorama from this year, so there’s a good chance they might be right about these new rumours, too.
As 2024 will be the twenty-fifth anniversary of the LEGO Star Wars range, it is expected that there’ll be plenty of amazing stuff on display. Will Promobricks prove to be correct with these rumours? Maybe. Either way, there’s no harm in a little speculation.
Mid-scale starships are one of the key takeaways from these new rumours. With the Executor Super Star Destroyer serving as a fitting flagship for this kind of model, we’re potentially looking at a similarly sized Millenium Falcon and Tantive IV, and as far as rumours go, this is completely plausible.
There is a gap in the LEGO Star Wars market when it comes to detailed, grown-up display versions of starships that aren’t so massive they develop their own gravitational pull. Many fans often buy the cheaper versions of ships designed for play, and pop them up on display, rather than forking out for UCS sets that both a) cost a lot of money, and b) need somewhat custom storage space.
