Norman Osborn isn't in this video more because he's on Sabbatical, honey.
You already know that 76178 Daily Bugle is the largest LEGO Marvel set of all time, but did you know it’s the second tallest LEGO set ever made? Standing at an impressive 82cm it dwarfs pretty much every other set it’s placed next to, all except 10181 Eiffel Tower, which is actually over twenty centimeters taller, coming in at 1.08metres tall.
Skyscrapers are known for their uniform design and the Daily Bugle is no exception, with four almost identical looking stories, each one containing floor to ceiling window panes. The windows can be found at the front and either sides and they even extend to the rear of some of the floors too.
Once finished, you will have used a staggering 347 trans-clear panels to complete the building - just be thankful they don’t need cleaning as much as real windows.
You’ll also need 287 1x1x2 bricks with studs on the side and 67 light grey single train tracks to finish off each floor's exterior details.
There are eight red ladders and eighteen red fences that make up the fire escape.
There are 6 television screens dotted around, one on reception, four smaller screens inside the newsroom on the first floor, one in the entranceway to J.Jonah Jameson’s office on the third floor and a giant wrap around screen that dominates the lower front section of the exterior. Each one features exquisite graphic design showing various news broadcasts from DB News and other news sources - they are stickers, but they do look incredible once applied.
If you’re more into your printed parts then you’re in luck, as there are 18 beautifully printed 2x2 tiles showing a variety of Daily Bugle headlines. These reference stories and events from comic books and movies as well as making subtle nods to those characters unlucky enough not to have made it into the set.
Speaking of minifigures, there are twenty five included, 16 of which are exclusive and three making their minifigure debut - we’ve made a list of our top five so be sure to check that out too.
As well as the frankly spectacular looking skyscraper there are also three brick built vehicles included. A brilliantly designed New York Taxi cab, Spiderman’s buggy thing and green goblins goblin glider.
And there’s one pair of dual molded legs on everybody’s favourite friendly neighbourhood Spiderman - at last! With arm printing, dual molded legs an updated torso and face print, this really is the definitive minifigure version of Spiderman.
And there you have it, the Daily Bugle in numbers!
