The LEGO Group's latest trio of Star Wars dioramas - 75329 LEGO Star Wars Death Star Trench Run Diorama, 75330 LEGO Star Wars Dagobah Jedi Training Diorama, and 75339 LEGO Star Wars Death Star Trash Compactor Diorama - are the latest in a fresh wave of sets that are excellent as display pieces, but also ideal as playsets.
While the sets, complete with the now familiar black 18+ packaging, are clearly aimed at adults, there's nothing in here that stops them from being played with - indeed, 75339 LEGO Star Wars Death Star Trash Compactor Diorama might actually function better as a play set than a display piece anyway, considering that having three walls is not an ideal design for something that's meant to be shown off.
These sets build on the legacy of last year's 76200 Bro Thor’s New Asgard, which proved surprisingly popular precisely because of its miniature design and inherent displayability.
The only question now is whether we'll get more of these dioramas in future, both for Star Wars, and for other various licensed properties such as Back to the Future, Avengers, and even Harry Potter.
